Default Wheels and tires

I think that i am upping to 16 inch wheels an i have no idea about tire sizes.I want to get some wider tires than the 225/60/15. I dont really want like a crazy wide tire, but i want to hook once i build the car up. I am taking the quad shocks of and doing control arms so you wont need to worry bout those getting the way. Also i dont want a tire that is going to mess up my speedo to much. Any suggestions???

255/50/16 is the largest you can go. bfg! didn't realize 16's stop there in street tires.

Igot 245/50/16 on my 86. On my flows it was close to the tailpipes in the rear, with SLP I would go 255. On the front, 245 is a little to wide to turn all the way, worse if lowered. I would get 245's in front with rack limiters, which is what I am doing, or 225 without.

245's are a nice size tire. i wouldn't go as far as saying fatty. i have 295's on the rear of mine. you will have a good selection of tires with the 245's. the 255's are "bfgoodrich" that's the widest i know of for 16's street tires.
