Default Broken key in trunk key cylinder

Hey,

I just got a 95 mustang 5.0 and there is a broken key in the trunk key cylinder. I can get it to about 1/8 to 1/4 inch out, but I cant pull it any further. Any tips/ideas are greatly appreciated.

take a pair of vise grips and clamp on to it hard and squirt some wd-40 or better yet PB blaster in the cylinder to help ease it's extraction

ahh, i tried that already. Since the key hole is indented(goes down) only a small portion of the key is vise-grippable. When I try and clamp down with the vice grips, I can just barely get the edge of the vise grips on the key, but when I clamp down, the key pops out and gets shot back into the cylinder. Where I then have to work it out with two eyeglass screwdrivers.

Its just a matter of making everything lign up and making sure its in its right place

it only took like 10-20 mins to install mine after i fixed my trunk popper
