gt40 heads... valve train question

ok , swapping to gt40 heads, and keeping the stock valve train(cam, lifters, rockers) will the stock pushrods work? i want to say yes because im not changing anything else, but then wanna say no because its a differant head... so... will they be ok or what? obviously ill check them when i do it just incase, but im just trying to plan ahead

Upgrade those springs....... even if you keep the stock cam.

cool stang8689, thx.

joel, why do you suggest upgrading them? are stock ones not good enough for the stock cam? im not being an ass, just dont want to do something because i heard that i should...and i know well enough, that you have a reason behind it...

the stock springs are barely good enough for the stock cam that and they are x amount of years old and worn out.

i know its another expense but you would be able to rev the car a little higher not having to worry about valve float because the springs are worn out. The very first time i had my car on the dyno i had bought a fresh long block with stock springs. the car was valve floating after 5600 rpm
