true but the sea foam isnt gunna hurt anything like he said just gotta change the oil to be safe

Yeah I know seafoam won't hurt the car what I was trying to help him understand is that once flooded with seafoam then flooded it with gas after that majorly by pumping the gas over and over that now you got 2 problems instead of one.....the best way to start it after that is hold the gas to the floor and just crank it...who knows the guy may have just done that and the car isn't flooded and in that case I'll just shut up...I'm just trying to let him know some possible things to watch out for in situations when such occurs

Great explnation Mike. Most on here don't know what a carbed car can do when the enginegets flooded (injected cars for that matter) and there is a lot of gas in the oil. Brings back memories of bad choke pull offs in the fall/winter and ppl having their cars towed in for no starts. Washed rings and cylinder walls = no good. ALWAYS change the oil afterwards even if the car starts right up.

well Bernie having 3 carbed cars sure has should we say given me the old timers edge or view on things...as my Father keeps tellin' me .. "BOY I FORGOTTIN' MORE THAN YOU KNOW"!!!!! LOL LOL... can't argue with him on that!!!

i think the same way about having a carbed car for the past 4 years does give you an old timers view on things. ill pop my hood at school and people ask what the hell is that its pretty funny and they have no idea how it works, if you think about it its very simple
