Bolting Rearend back up and adding brake fluid
Okay i am trying to bolt my stock rearend back up (not swapping rearends yet cause i don't trust my self but it was worth a shot) passenger side is all bolted up and ready to go but hte driver side lower control arm is not lining up correctly with the rearend so when i turn the bolt its not going through the hole so i can just bolt the bitch back up already.
any way i can move the rearend, hit it with a hammer into place, put a jack under it and move it? seems like the control arm or hte rearend is sitting about a 1/2 inch from where it should be, i gotta move the rearend 1/2 forward so the holes can line up but the bitch ain't budging can ihave somoe like push it and hold it till i get the screw through? i need the car for tomorrow...
annddd i think i have NO brake fluid in the car while haveing the car off the floor i put it in drive and pressed teh brakes, they sunk compeltely to the floor and did not stop the rear brakes from spinning, if i add more brake fluid (brake lines were never disconnected) do i have to bleed the system? my mech said the rear brake cylinder is leaking a tad.

RE: Bolting Rearend back up and adding brake fluid
i feal your pain, i literally just bolted a new 8.8 into my 85 mustang yesterday, and i had the same problem, what i found helpful was to place a jack under the diff pumpkin and jack it up 6-8 inches. you then must put a block under the front of the axle assembly( where the driveline bolts to the axle) because it WILL kick towards the ground making it impossible for alighnment. 2 people makes it a little nicer, it WILL fit just keep on trying diffrent heights and angles until you find it.

fixed it... i unbolted the swaybar and that made therearend much easier to move, my bro laid on his back and with his feet pushed the rearend towards the control arm and i finally got the bolt in and got hte bitch back together!
