Default trac lok rebuild

i am thinkin of rebuilding my trac lok in my 91gt my question is how easy is it to do and should i just use i reg rebuild kit or get the one with carbon fiber clutches. any info would be apreciated. thank you

they arent all that hard basic tools and what not. i would go for the carbon fiber ones they should be strong as hell. one thing you really need to pay attention to is what shims came off of what side of the carrier. if you mix them up you will throw the gears off which will cause them to whine and **** like that. the hardest part i have been told is the big spring pushing on the clutch packs its hard as hell to get back in

yea thats what i heard about the spring to. i heard something in the instructions it tells you what order to put them in. i was just seein if anyone here has done it and how it was

nope i havent actually rebuilt one yet but i have taken apart open diffs but ill be rebuilding the one to my car soon enough

yea i just picked up a rear im gonna rebuild now usin 373 gears. but yea i will def let you know. to pro5.0 i just read that article and it does look pretty simple. the rear is gonna be out of my car already so it should be a lil easier.
