25 dollar CAI off ebay? and it FIT!
Recently i purchased a CAI off ebay and got it in the mail the other day and installed it in the freezing cold wheather (CAI seems fitting right?). And belive it or not everything but the bolts they sent along with the kit (93 cent investment to my 25 dollars). And the Intake temp didnt fit either but i have my car chipped so it didnt matter to much. i just plugged the hole with electircal tape, and it looks like its supposed to be there actually. the intake didnt have any other problems other wise though and personally for a 25 dollar intake i feel i did what i payed for but it does work well. Ask the mazda 3 i took that night with 3 other people in my car in 4th gear

Ive seen those o eBay and have been tempted to buy one for my Durango but every time I go to hit the Buy It Now button the old addage "you get what you pay for" goes ringing through my head. Keep us updated on how it holds up I just might buy one after all.

I also purchased one for my 1991 LX 5.0, it fit OK, a little short on the pipes and needed to be messed with a little for a perfect fit. What I did notice was the quality of aluminum used is cheap thats how they keep cost down. It scratches easily and does not polish up very well, other than that is it very good and functional. I didn't get it for looks, got it for what its supposed to do. I would say paint it or just be real careful around it, seems like my gets scratched from a strong breeze blowing lol. One other thing, the pipe going into the fender is 3 inch nice and big, but the pipe going into the TB is smaller in diameter and tapers down. Its the same size as the TB opening but the kits from BBK I have seen were 3 inch all the way up.

They also advertise the filter as a "generic". Is it any cheaper made than say a K&N? Or does the quality seem close? Also, is it washable and reusable or is it a throw away? Just a little studying up before I buy.

Yes I would definately just throw a cone K&N on it.. As for the piping being 3" all the way up, that is false, my BBK CAI is 3 inches into the MAF< then 2 1/2" to the TB...
