Mid 13's

Mid 13's
Okay, so I'm driving my car on a daily basis now, so I figure it's time to start setting goals. I have 3.73's, and full intake(fenderwell CAI, throttle body, MAF, upper and lower), factory exhaust except mufflers. If I put some equal length headers, and an offroad H-pipe that should get me about to the low 14's right? What kind of part do I need to push it into the 13's? Am I looking at a head and cam swap to get me there?

RE: Mid 13's
idk, I havent taken it to the drag strip yet, the nearest 1/4 mile is like 2 hours away, there is an 1/8th mile like 45 minutes away. I was thinking about going out there this weekend but its usually flooded with the local ricers running 14's......(in the 1/8, and then they brag)

u/l controll arms, sticky tires, subframe connectors and then maybesome drag springs if you want.you'll be mid 13's easy with a good driver. h/c/i would put you in the 13's but i suggest suspension first that way when your into your h/c/i you still have good handling.

right now I have 265's in the rear, but they are street tires. I planned on subframe connectors at least before I went to the track, just to be on the safe side lol. I've heard bad stories about mustangs and their body flex....

I could not believe what a difference it made in the way the car handles.....and they are not expensive!
I went with Full-length UPRs...

yeah, stuff like that is what i keep hearing about the subframe connectors. I'm actually doing those before I do my exhaust. I guess I'll just have to make a trip one weekend and go see what I can run, I thought the fox's were like, high 14's with gears and exhaust, maybe its just the drivers ive seen with their cards listed...

RE: Mid 13's
i run low 14's all day with very minimal "performance" mods
if it was a 5 speed i would already be in the 13's easily
my advice is if u dont really want to dig deeper into the engine (heads/cam/etc..), start reducing weight.
my car is still practical despite having no backseat. at the drags i take my stereo equipment out, along with the passenger seat.
it makes a difference
