my distributor is lodged in my 306 and I cant get it out, this makes it a real pain in the butt to remove and install my intake, Im about to put some heads on and I would like to get it out. Should I try to pry it or just work around it? Has anyone else ever had this problem, someone please give me some advice, thanks.

just wiggle it loose maybe lightly tap on it at the bottom

Its probably gummed up with sludge oil, I had this happen a few times before. I used PB blaster penetrating oil to break it loose that stuff eats rust and anything else that shouldnt be there lol. You can also use laquer thinner but then an oil change is a must. Spray either around the base and let it soak down the hole around the distributor shaft at the bottom. Let it sit for a good 1/2 hour to work and set in and you should be able to slide it right out.

cool, thanks, I have removed and installed my intake twice with the distributor in place and it sucked. it makes it hard to get the lower intake in and out.
