I just bought this car all of 4 days ago, and today it has caused me nothing but trouble.....[:@][:@][:@]

I went to go put my top up so I can wash it, and what do you know, the top wont go up.... the motor doesnt even make a sound, I flip the switch, nothing.... tried both up and down....

checked the fuses, they are fine, what the hell can this be?

I have started the car, nothing, repalced the fuse, Just in case, nothing, its the correct size, why the hell is my top dead....

I have to drive this car 2.5 hours back to school in about 5-6 hours.... so any help would be good.


its a 1991 5.0 LX, 5 speed (if you need the specs...

stock ignition, only mods are the regular bolt ons....

Is the top motor just dead? I don't really know anything about convertibles, but couldn't you disconnect the motor and just manually pull the top up?

I sorta temp fixed the problem for now, got the top up, and found there is a short in the radio harness which was casuing the problems from the beginning
