look ill do you a favor. rebuild your motor to a 331 or 347. forge that thing also, but its not manditory.
then later on down the road if you want to go faster, strap on some giggle juice or a s/c and really make some hp. my 331 got great gas mileage, it was very easily a DD.

Guaranteed!.....

Why is it a tendency to associate a 347 stroker with a "non-DD" capable setup?......besides, as the saying goes...."there's no replacement for displacement".......

im not sayin it wouldnt make a fine daily driver...but as my plans from the beginning of this post were i want a supercharger someday....and i figure if i go 306 with hci..then when i put the blower on it would already have the forged pistons..and id make about 400 horse...which in my mind..it perfect for what i want...but blower wont be for a while...so in the mean time i want to do a fairly solid bottom end with a nice set of heads..cam n then the intake i have for now....its all gonna be on a budget and that budget is no more than 3000...thats my plan at least..if it ends up goin a couple hundred over well so be it.i dont want to put **** on...oh n is 400 about right to expect for the block work? oh and as for the go big or go home....i figure this will last me plently long enough to get me outta school n have a good job by then...then ill think about puttin a 351 in...so theres my big cubes motor...but thats a ways off..i still got a couple years of school...and then gettin that job ...

and what we are trying to get through that thick skull of yours is...

you dont need a supercharger to hit 400hp... just a well built stroker

Here is your new revised list, courtesy of me:

Scat 4340 forged I-beam rods.
Probe Pistons (.030 overbore)
RHS 180cc heads with 64cc combustion chambers
Comp Cams Magnum EFI 281HR cam Part Number 35-302-8 (specs are listed Here)
Edelbrock performer 5.0 manifold
Moroso 7qt pan
Stock or HV oil pump
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers (1.6 ratio)
ARP Engine Fasteners
Quality Engine shop to do machine work
Dyno Tune and supporting mods

This setup will get you over the 300 hp mark if you have it properly tunedand you dont have to worry about the craptastic valve spings that come onAFR heads. Also this is a very reliable setup that will take a good bit of abuse and moderate amounts of boost if you decide to in the future.
