Okay, so it's getting cold, and I don't have anything but floor and defrost. So I decided to tackle my HVAC issues. It appears to be a very simple problem, the guy who had it before me ripped all the AC stuff out and apparently thought the vacuum stuff was aprt of it too. I think the electrical connector is the energizing connector for the AC compressor, am I right? I just need some pics of where the 2ndconnector should connect, and I'll just run seperate vacuum lines for that. And I'm pretty sure I'm in need of a vacuum reservoir also, any ideas?

I would be willing to bet that you have a vacuum leak in your dash. The vacuum line that runs into the firewall controls the vent funtions.(the line goes in near the heater core) The switch in the dash diverts the vacuum, start looking there to see if you have all your connections made.

A new core is cheap, and it isn't hard to put in, just time consuming.

.......i dont have any vacuum leak, because my vacuum lines arent hooked up to anything.....that connector has the supply for all the vacuum stuff under the dash(supposed to), right now its not hooked up to anything so it cant be leaking manifold vacuum when its not connected to it. im pretty sure the black line is source, but idk what the other ones are

\Hook that back up, that is why your stuff wont work. Just hook the one line back up

Look at your last pick. There is a vacuum line removed marked a/c. On my 94, that vacuum line runs accross the back of the engine compartment and then enters the firewall and comes in above the glove box. My car's air was stuck on defrost and I found a break in that line and when I fixed it it worked fine.

man.....look at the 2nd picture, that connector is the one for the HVAC, including my source vacuum, i dont have the other part of it......the guy that had the car before me, ripped everything for the AC off, he also ripped off my connector for my HVAC stuff, there is 5 lines on one connector.....and i dont have a vacuum reservoir so everytime i drop manifold vacuum all the heat and stuff will cut off, so i need that and pictures of where the 5 lines are supposed to go
