how do you determine which harmonic balancer and flex plate to use? also i know that they should match but what do you do if you swap a t-5. is there weighted fly wheels the same as flex plates

RE: 50oz or 28oz balance
It will depend on the crankshaft used...... yes, flywheels and flex plates have a balance factor.....if you change to a T5 setup, and your auto had a 50 oz. balanced flex plate, you need a flywheel balanced for a 50 oz rotating assy.

I thought the balancing had to do with the mass of the crankshaft. My machine guy showed me some that were way beefy and some that were much more dainty.

this build is from ground up. started with a disassembled block. no balancer or flex.
