Well if your worried do the Royal Purple conversion, and if your still worried I'd recommend DSS for an engine, but 9-12psi I wouldn't fear a damn thing, however 13+ I'd invest in the above, or your selected oil brand but I'd go with the Purple, it's pretty good stuff, colledge studies have shown emissions improvements as well.
And ya 9 psi is a pretty sweet increase, intercooled it's even better!
Vortech is poorly designed, uses oil pan hot oil, useless after a mile water intercooler, and on top of that the system is less that well designed. Paxton without a intercooler is pretty tight, but I'd lean towards ATI aka Procharger's kit, some bad mouth it, but I've seen em at work, emissions legal power screamen workhorses!

As far as Prochargers go, you're right they are great units. But you're mistaken about the Cortechs. They're great units as well. Matter of fact, if I recall correctly they actually run a little cooler than the Prochargers (contrary to what you posted.)
I'm not sure what you're trying to say about teh water intercooler. Are you talking about methanol / alcohol / water injection or are you talking about a water to air intercooler? Or are you talking about something completely different?

I was reading through thisthread and i seen his reply, and i was like "wow.... this guys a tard,i'm going to make a post calling him out".... then every post after that everyone already did.
anyways, to the poster, boost is boost man, just pickup whichever one is cheap. unless it's a powerdyne. I have no personal experience with them, but i've heard horror stories.

My big thing with this was will it lower my compression on my car and ruin my block in anyway to put a supercharger on a non built 5.0 HO motor?
