Default Car dies with the A/C on.

Some of you know I have been having tons of idle issues with my car. The latest is my car runs great with the A/C off. No more searching for idle, no more stalling out. However, with the A/C on its a beast to try and drive. The car stalls constantly when sitting still and searches for idle. Any idea of where to start.

The shop that put on my heads and stuff said that he thinks it has something to do with the MAP sensor and the 70mm throttle body. He said to fix it I need to geta corrected gasket? (I don't get that one) or put the stock throttle body back on.

Any thoughts?

I did all of that, multiple times. The car runs like a champ with the A/C off. No idle search, no stalling, no drive ability issues. That to me indicates that the IAC is working just fine. The only issue is when the A/C is on. The higher it's on the worse the car runs.

When was the last time you put a belt on it? A losse belt can cause those issues.

Belt is in great shape - no cracks - no tears.

im willign to bet that your a/c system is low on freon(sp), wich will cause a big drop at idle... my car does this,i just dont care, but you can actually feel the power loss when driving when it kicks on and off... idk tho, i dont use it much...

There is a solenoid or some type of controll that is supposed to bump up your idle automatically when you turn on your AC. This may be bad or malfunctioning

Looks like we have everyone stumped...I will eventually figure it out. When I do I'll let you in on it. I was hoping some of the tech certified guys would chime in...
