before my dad and i rebuilt the 86 thunderbird it had 250,xxx miles and still going strong. am i near the top of some sort of record? as long as you take good care of them they will last you a hell of a long time.

I bought my 87 GT daily driver with 169,000 on it. It's about to turn 210,000 now.
I've been through a couple T5s, but never had any problems with the 5.0 internals. Still runs storng. Never any oil in the coolant or vice versa. Can't feel any blowby holding my hand over the oil fill tube.
