oh I'm sure you can pick up a set of gt-40's for aroun 300 to 400 not sure though I never tried to buy a set but have seen them sold for around that...as for the NOS kit if it's a plate system !!!! put that puppy on!!!! I have a 100 shot on my 85gt and it punches the car down almost a full second lower in the 1/4 mile.... I'd purchase a set of jets so you can adjust your kit to start at 100 hp...they sell jet packs!!!

well to spray a 175 shot you'd probably have to go 1 to 2 steps colder on the plugs and set the timing back 4 to 6 degrees and I'd run race gas to further avoid detonation...any set of performance 5.0 headers will work for a 5.0 mustang that is unless you purchase gt-40 p heads which are different then gt-40's the P heads require a special header.....try summit for header options

What rpm's are you launching at??? It's a different world when you got some tires that will stick... Sounds like you have a good set up, may need to step it up to run those tires...

if it hooks it's the axles you need to worry about.

might have missed it, but are you still 7 1/2" er ? even more prone to breakage if yes.

squirt 75-100 on it, you'll see 12's all day long, if it's 7.5" think about an 8.8" swap

do the nitrous then save for heads, and yeah gt40 irons are great heads for cheap....do some port work though, my buddy went 11's on them w/ 4.10's 125 shot on a '92 gt

GT-40P heads off an Explorer ....... $300
Ford E or F cam ........................... $150
150 shot

Will not break thr bank and the heads and cam alone should add an easy 60+rwhp

The E cam for sure will be fine the stock P head springs.
The F cam might be pushing it a little.

150 shot is plenty safe on that motor as long as you either run race gas
or pulling timing out for it.
