Sorry, not enough information when first posted. This is an 87 5.0 H.O. My engine shuts off when it get to operating temperature or shortly after. When it cools down it starts again. I'm sure it is an electrical part that has gone bad.... Any suggestions on where to start?

well you could check the poteniometer,if your car has one located I think on top of the engine. had one do the same thing a few years back. took the dealer 5 times to find out this same problem. It's worth a check.
