Default Potential Fox Build. Questions?

I don't post here often as I currently own an s197. However, I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a 90 - 93 5.0 Fox as a project car and getting a new daily driver. One of the ideas that I have is to drop a new Ford Racing 5.0 302 crate engine into the car. At this point I am looking to you just for some opinions.

Here is the engine I was looking at.

w/ 9:0:1 compression camshaft as it would probably give me more options in regards to tuning.

I know I will need new items such as a fuel pumps, fuel lines, water pumps, ignition systems, etc...

...but what else should I be considering? Transmission? Type? Clutch? etc. How good are the stock components in the short-run?

I have a lot of questions but, all and all I want to know what your opinions are.

Default RE: Potential Fox Build. Questions?

Personally if you plan on leaving it basically the way it is from the crate, I would back it with a Tremec and a streetable clutch/pressure plate combo and have fun, that's my opinion. That is a solid motor. I would argue that for that kind of money you can build one to produce more power, and probably wind up saving a few bucks, but for out of the box, that's a great package. The sportsman block is a block I would truct for a little over 500hp should you choose to go that route also. My personal choice for clutch would be Centerforce or Zoom (personal preference). I hope I didn't leave anything out.

Oh and that compression ratio is still very capable of sustaining a supercharger or very mild turbo also
