ORIGINAL: PJB

Mine was boiling out of the overflow too.
I ended up having to replace a bad fan clutch and getting an air pocket out of the cooling system.
Yeah I had that also. I replaced the overflow tank and never had temp issues sence. Wait until your summit one comes

Not sure what type of overflow your getting from Summit, I had the red round like bottle type (they come in different colors) but I think those are for the track just to catch any fluid that may overflow and keep it off the track. Not sure if will recirculate thru the radiator. I may be wrong there. I got the stock overflow tank from www.latemodelrestoration.com (50Resto) and bolted it to Fluidyne rad and it helped a bunch. In the long run it was my timing causing it to run hot, but I think the stock overflow tank may be a better choice.

I think you have the wrong overflow bottle, when the engine/antifreeze gets warm and expands.. ectit will fill up the stock overflow bottle to the hot mark and then when it cools down it will return to the rad "cold mark".Yours i dont think it returns the fluid and you loose it all on the road.I would get a new bottle.

why wouldent my bottle return it to the rad. and if that was the case wouldent i only loose a little. it would drain the rad to the point of expansion and then if my bottle kept the fluid, the rad would just be a little low and then not need to spill out again rite. . . . im not new to cars but this is just really confusing me. its not a big deal because i dont drive it in the winter and im painting it but im really curious.
