im currently running a holley blue eletric pump and want to change it out for a mechanical one but instead of doing the conversion i was wondering if there is a fuel pump that is quiet? the holley is out of control loud and i can't stand it. anyone know of a good quiet pump?

did you place a piece of rubber between the body and pump bracket like the kit suggests??? I know the blue pump is noisy as I have one but then again my car is loud so it usually hides the noise the piece of rubber helped but it doesn't totally solve the issue

i have not done that but i know that it still will be loud. does anyone know if there is a quiet one? on holleys website they have a new black bullet one that they say is quiet and it flows a lot of fuel.

i know this doesnt really help but i have the holley red and mine also is loud but the exhaust tends to drown out the sound lol i also used the rubber shock absorber.....

wait, wut kinda numbers are we talking? like, a 255lph or more? I have a BBK 255lph and you cant even tell the difference over stock....but i have a feeling your talking about one of the crazy high volume pumps lol

I ran one of the mallory pumps, comp 140 I think, and it was WAY quieter than the holley blue I had. You could barely hear it.

Read the thread!!![&:] Were talking about the Holley Blue pump.......it's a elec fuel pump for a carb'ed car not fuel injected........two completely different pumps with different output pressures

yea... cmon man... everyone knows the holley blue is a 14psi pump.... man
