how bout u just do a proper tuneup and pass then to do some bull**** uti rumor mixture.. hc is unburnt fuel, do a tune up and thats it, its not rocket science

You can pass visual with a carb? if the tech is your pal he could have easily disconnected your spout connector and bam another guarantee pass scenario.

This is what i did after i failed 2 times.....did complet tune up cap, rotor, wires, plugs, oil change, fuel filter and heres the fun part i ajusted the tps to lean it out just alittle then i disconnected the plug from the dizzy to bring it to base timming and brought the idle up to about 800-850 range.....also i used 93 octaine and drove it around for about an hr then the last 15mins i drove her hard and let the car run wile i was waiting to get it done and she passed with flying colors i mean as good as a new car......ohh and i used garunteed to pass crap the second time it work alittle bit..........this is my resualts back in july, HC ppm 40km/h Limit 66, Reading 48, CO% Limit .37 Reading .10, NO ppm Limit 757 Reading 364, Curb Idle HC ppm Limit 200, Reading 85 and CO% Limit 1, Reading 0.01

I had the same problems last month dude. Listen to me cause I had to do this. Run Shell 91octane, take the timing back like they said, and make sure the car is as warm as possible. Is you seafoamed you car like I did, get new plugs. Smog sucks. Im paying someone off next time
