Do hedman headers always fit like crap?
I put post earlier 3.8 to 5.0 because I thought motor was sitting wrong because of mounts but now wonder if it is headers. Pass side, a straight pipe could bolt to flange and pass thru hump in cross member. Driver side is partially obstructed by floor board, will need a big offset to get to hump in crossmember. Is this normal? or is somting wrong here?

The motor mounts have adjustment in them. Loosen the large single bolt and it should allow the motor to come down on that side.
It does in Fox Bodys.
That might give you that 3/8 inch you want

Tried that already, drier side post is at the bottom of v-shaped slot. It seems the pass side and driver side,the slots in the mounts are not symetrical. The pass side slot is longer than drivers side.
