I read the codes on my 5.0 and got these...

o=
51, coolant temp. switch out of specified range
22, map sensor out of specified range
53, throttle position sensor input out of specified range
54, vane air flow sensor or air charge temp. sensor
35, egr pressure feedback, regulator check
67= neutral drive switch or circuit

r=
22,
54,
51,
53,

can you guys help me fix the problems?
i'm guessing the coolant switch isnt a big deal? is it the little plug that goes on the top of the overflow bottle?

how do i fix the map sensor from being out of range? do i need a new map sensor?

how do i fix the throttle position sensor? need to know how to fix each one of those..

thanks for any help.

seems a bit excessive to me. probably hasn't been cleared in quite some time.
disconnect the battery for a half hour and recheck codes in a couple days.

okay

car overheats and blows white and black smoke out of the exhaustthat burns my eyes..
drove it the other day and when i push the gas pedal it acts like it doesnt wanna go.

going to a junkyard on tuesday..so i'm gonna pocket a couple MAP sensors or whatever they're called. dont really know what exactly the other ones are. where is the throttle position sensor at? i'll try to replace it.

if u cant tell.. i dont know alot about the 5.0 engine or engines at all. just a little bit.

67 - you probably are checking codes with the car in gear. Put it in neutral, its a 5-spd right?

TPS sensor, just check it and see what its set at? from what these guys sayit should be no more than 0.999

The restI don't know.

22 - MAP out of self-test range....... you may want to replace it, if the code repeats in KOEO... you will need to check 5-vdc VREF presence and SIGRTN circuit (ground reference) at the MAP connector.

51 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Open ....... make sure ECT is connected and check the condition of the sensor connector and harness.

53 - Throttle Position Sensor Circuit Above Maximum Voltage ....disconnect the TPS, rerun a KOEO and check if a code 63 shows up instead of a 53.

54 - Intake Air Temperature/Air Charge Temperature Circuit Open ....... make sure IAT/ACT is connected and check the condition of the sensor connector and harness.

Is this a speed density system?..... the '87 in your sig?
