Default smog pump

my smog pump froze on me on the way home from work the other night, just paid to have it replaced for now, if i do a smog pump delete am i going to have to relocate any of the pullies, and am i going to lose horsepower switching from an old smog pump to a new one like catylitic converters or is it just the same.

Guess i better start eliminating the things on my car i dont use, there always the things that brake and stop the car from working....

Default RE: smog pump

similar thing happend to me, except the damn A/C compressor almost caught on fire (it WAS smoking and extremely hot)

i bought the ford racing a/c delete kit and ran a 70.5" belt, bypassing the smog pump

the kit was like $40 and the belt was $15 at my work

$55 for a noticable horsepower gain.. priceless (kinda )

there is a trick to it though, as you don't want to it to rub...
