how to get the top bolt off front strut

i cant get the top bolt and rubber washers off the front strut. its the one that you can see when u open the hood. anyone know how to do this. whenver i turn it the whole top of the strut turns

Use an impact gun.....3 blasts on the ingersoll is the cure for all!!!

put a big pair of vise grips on the strut beam so when it spins the vise grip will lock against the inner fenderwell and you should be able to spin the bolt off the top
