i have this identical problem in every way you described. i got new prothane engine mounts and tranny mount and lubed up the U joint nipples (lol) and the vibrations decreased dramatically. do these mods if your engine mounts are about gone.

well i did look at the motor mounts they appear intact, but i did notice that the rubber had a little cracking, what is the best way to check your motormounts? put a jack under the motor?

heres an easy way to check your mounts, this is how i did it.

get under the hood and rev the engine manually by pulling on the throttle cable. if you see the engine torque over more than about 6 or 7 degrees than you need new mounts. mine would torque over a good 20 degrees, my mounts were completely ruined. now when i rev my engine with the prothanes the engine doesnt move and the whole body flexes, its rather sexy....
