Default How much should I pay for a.................?

I might be able to get my hands on a wrecked 89 GT.

List of stuff:

Built 306 ci.
AFR 185cc heads
TFS cam and Intake mani.
TKO Tremec 5 speed tranny
Those are just the main parts that I know about. I dont totally know about the other stuff it has.

I'm not too sure about the condition of all the suspension since this car was in a major crash. It was rolled and hit a pole at around 100mph. It was my friends car and I might be able to buy it from his family. I got a chance to drive it before it was wrecked and it was amazing.

How much do you guys think I should pay for it?

holy ****, he was going 100 and hit a pole.

do you know what kinda forces the engine could have experienced after such a collision. i would reconsider, if it was 60 or 70 MPH than MAYBE but 100 is a real treat for any mechanical device.

kinetic energy = half the mass times VELOCITY SQUARED. so you see at 100 MPH were talking a lot of damage here...

i would be weary..

If this car is close, go look into it and make an offer while your there. Just look the car over WELL.
I would probably offer him $1500 for the parts car as he does have a lot into it, you never know what type of suspension he has or what rearend. Heck , he might have adjustable struts ans shocks.
Just dont lowball him and insult him you know what i mean. I'm just putting myself in his shoes, but i see your oppertunity here.

Good luck

[sm=badidea.gif] dude $1500????? **** that i would inslut the kid. he flipped the car over at 100mph, and then hit a pole. u no how much damage a 100 mph crash could do. hjis tranny is prolly all ****ed up to begin with because of that huge *** side impact, and the motor is prolly all messed up too. u mite not be able to see it but a 100mph impact cood do alot of damage to the inside of that motor. lol ur crazy, i would even go any where near that car. and if some of the stuff looks nice then over him like 300 bucks
