Default oil pressure help

hey guys, recently done h/c/i and am still working out some of the bugs and what not. The other day i was on the free way cruisin about 75-85 in 5th(t-5) and i looked down at my oil pressure gauge and it was reading super low... like the first notch or so on the stock gauge 10 psi?, so i let off the throttle and it climbs back up to reg pressure which is about the middle of the gauge 40-50 psi. When the car is idling the pressure is fine, it only does this when im giving it throttle or cruising around that speed in 5th. I'm going to get a new oil pressure sending unit soon to see if that fixes it.

Also ive noticed that ive got a small oil leak coming from the drivers side of the engine, when i did my h/c/i the dipstick tube broke so i replaced it with a ford racing one, put black permatex on it and whatnot, but ive been under the car trying to find the source of the leak and i cant rly find it. The oil is dripping down the bellhousing to the bottom and seems to only be coming from the driver side of the bellhousing. I checked my v/c gaskets and all that but its not coming from up top its somewere down by the dipstick tube or possibly the rear main? any suggestions?

get a mechanical oil pressure guage to see if that your oil pressure is ok. You have to remember your working with almost 20 year old guages so for 20 bucks its worth it to be sure.

He's talking about the lil bottle of UV dye that you add to your oil and then the black/UV light to make the dye show up.. Add it drive it an check it.

No, you'll be fine no oil change needed...it comes in a 1 or 2 ounce bottle and can be easily purchased at NAPA or other parts stores
