ORIGINAL: BBKwhore

Sorry if i'm getting old already, i've been posting on most of the stang forums trying to figure out whats up w/ my car. Alright, first off heres my problems lol... My car at lower rpms (say from 0-1000rpm) stalls and my car nearly dies it seems like. Also, from time to time my car will just start bucking and stalling while at driving speeds, like its gonna just die on my in the highway. Also, when in park and revved, its bogs down real bad till about 12-1500 rpm. Other than these two problems my cars seems to run fine.

Lil background, I removed the smog and egr systems on my car. I just replaced the tps sensor and set it to .99v and cleaned out my IAC. I've ran my codes on my car and I get the two codes dealing with my smog deletion and nothing else.

I just don't understand. I love my car to death, but it's getting to the point where I just wanna scrap the efi **** (too poor at the moment) or get rid of it. I'm currently in my senior year of school and driving the 3.5 hours home and back on breaks can be downright scary at times. I was told that it could possibly be the fuel pump going bad; is there any way I can check this w/o taking it to a mechanic?

My car is an 86 Gt by the way lol

Again, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Fuel pump loud and whinning?
Also, at night, use a spray bottle, water and pinch of salt;, spray a fine mist of across the coil pack, to see if its bad.

I got a similar problem, did most of what you've done. A friend of mine told me I had a worn cam. Gonna look more into when I get back to america next year.

Motorcrafts are quiet and expensive now, when used with an OEM Insulator.

But its hard to find a 5.0 with a stock OEM Motorcraft unit.
