Default Radiator help :/

Someone on here recommended this radiator. I finally got it yesterday and it is high quality stuff. problem is that it doesnt fit quite right. They say you need a custom bracket to mount it and i got that too.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TODAY.m238.lVI

The main problem is the stock fan shroud/overflow tank. It does not mount to the radiator correctly. Does anyone have any experience with this radiator? I hate to spend more money on an electric fan and a new overflow tank since im in a tight financial situation but if i must i will.

Thanks

Ha ha...It says "radiator fits mustangs and other fords" too...you know what that means?? you got what you paid for = something that is universal and you make it work deal......I buy the items that say direct fit........cause if it don't say that then it won't fit and you better be prepared to custom fabricate stuff to make it work[:@] it also says you may have to drill new holes to make your water bottle/shroud work right[:'(] DIRECT FIT FTW!!!

i dont see any 2-3 row aluminum radiators that say direct fit, even the ford racing says modification required

Check your EBAy listing, it's states it takes other radiator brackets which they also sell. Get with those guys, if the sold it, they can tell what you need. It's that or fit it yourself I'm afraid. I've checked these out too from the same company but just bit the bullet and went with the direct replacement Fluidyne. Very pricy but dropped right in with no problems. I made an "L" bracket and mounted the overflow bottle. Went to Lowes and bought a stick of thin Stainless flatbar, easy to bend and drill. I'm not sure, but STEEDA sells radiator hold downs, it fits all the way across the top of the rad, that may work, but it may be for dress up. http://www.steeda.com/products/steed...r_brackets.php

Oh, I didn't buy that one, I got the Fluidyne radiator. I was looking at alot ofradiators and figured for the extra bucks, get a direct replacement. I know they make cheaper direct replacements, but I got the Fluidyne from my local Ford Motorsport dealer in Houston, so just went and picked it up on the way home. Heard alot of good things about Fluidynes. If your having more of an issue with the shroud than the actual fitment of the radiator, I can't help you there man. I have an electric fan, and like I said, made a bracket for the overflow bottle. If you can post some pictures, I'm sure somebody here could help you, sorry man, I thought the rad brackets were the main problem.

That seller (Dynamic Racing) is a total joke. He sells products with low cost and jacks up the shipping cost to make the difference.
You can do better with other sellers.
