While trying to figure out whats up w/ my car I found this part w/ the vacuum unplugged. If I remember right it went to the back of my manifold, but when I removed my egr I just capped both the vac lines up. So I just capped this one off today as well.

Thanks Guys

Fuel Pressure Regulator

put it back on

vaccum helps create fuel pressure

otherwise risk running very lean

K, thanks man. I thought it was just part of the egr system. Do you know which vacuum line it goes too? If I remember right it was left one. God, I do some stupid **** sometimes.

Again, thanks bro

As long as the source is really vacuum, it'll all be relatively constant on that side of the throttle body. So plug it into the closest and/or best looking vacuum port available.

with the vac. line off it will make it have more fuel press. not less. as far as where to get it find a place that has vac. all the time and hook it up check the back of the upper intake thats where most get it.

I unplugged it from the back of the upper manifold. Theres two vac ports back there. I just plugged it into the left one (closest to passenger side).

Thanks

It has a diaphragm in it, when you have no vacuum it thinks your at full throttle all the time, so it jacks up the fuel pressure. Just find a constant vacuum source and plug it up, the EGR valvehas a line that runs to a plug on the passenger fenderwell.

Got it plugged back in guys.

Now, new questions. Does anybody know where I could locate a vac line that feeds to all cylinders? I wanna pour some seafoam through my motor to try and clean out any carbon buildup since I removed my smog system.

Thanks,
Cody

Brake booster vac line, and pour SLOWLY or you'll kill it, and it's hard to start full of Seafoam.

ok, so the semi-large one running to the vac tree? looks like I'll have to have a hand w/ this one. Don't want to pour everywhere.

Thanks man
