Default 4 Wheel Disc

I've decided its time for my car to step up into the 21st century and roll with discs at all four wheels. My car is a 1983 GT conv that I have upgraded with the larger frontdisc brakes off of a 1987/93 Mustang and SSBC rotors. I'm considering the rear disk conversion package from SSBC which would keep my car 4 lug.
http://www.ssbrakes.com/products/det...&year=1983

I want to stay 4 lug so that I can run my original TRX wheels when I want to. Does anyone run this package and/or heard anything about it. I think it is a good deal compared to more powerful and higher priced packages like the FRPP 2300K and Baer packages. I will also be upgrading to SVO 73mm front calipers.

I believe somebody on here did it, the kid with a red fox, basically I'll just repeat what Adder told him, to you, all those parts(except for the rotors I think) you can get at your local parts store for a lot less

Thats interesting it would nice to see a list of parts. I can buy the kit on other websites for $700 and it comes with complete instructions and I wouldn't besearching for parts. But that sounds interesting.

I'm actually in NorCal but I feel like getting all the little hardware will be tough. Plus I want it to work effectively and I'm much more confident in the ability of SSBC to make a good braking system inwhich every part is designed to work togetherthen I am in a system that I create out of parts from multiple manufacturers. I also am not to interested in a set of calipers from a kragen or napa as one out of every few will be a piece of crap. I feel like after I ran everything down I would still be in it for atleast $500 and will cause myself a bigger headace and have a less effective product. I really appreciate your 2 cents, but I'm looking for a kit made by a manufacturer I can trust that is designed to bolt right up. By the way you car looks f*ckin badass. 4eyeswillneverdie

http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/~m...tang/5lug.htmlHere'sa website that dicusses changning the rear to disc. I know that it is about 4 to 5 conversion, but if some of the parts listed give you insight on what could done to keep it a 4 lug then it's helpful. Anyway some good reading on brakes. Good luck.
