Hey guys we just found an ad in the buy n sell for a 95 5.0 motor and world class T-5 and clutch everything rebuilt for $2000. so he bought it for his 88 Gt but im just checking something here. If we put all the Fuel injection stuff off of the 88 onto 95 motor would it work. i dont see why it wouldnt??same firing order. I just dont want a repeat of tryin to match the ****in 86 motor in there.. Any input appreciated

The motor is the same as yours except its got hypereutetic pistons instead of forged like your '88.
Firing order, injection, etc are the same but the accessories (alternator, etc) and brackets are different- use your stuff on the motor.

you need to swap the timing cover off the 95 motor, with your stock one... and put all your stock brackets and accessories in.

also, the shifter is going to sit about 11/16" further back and you MIGHT have crossmember alignment problems

No, the y aren't the same... The 94-95 cars have a different water pump... So that makes a different timing cover. They are the same thickness and everything...

As said above , the long blocks are the same except the pistons are hypers not forged and the camshaft is a little different grind . Use all of the accessories from the 88 along with the timing cover and water pump . The 94-95 bellhousing and inputshaft on the transmission are a little longer but should still work with the factory driveshaft . Your shifter location will be slightly back about 1/2 " or so from the original shifter location .

actually... all 5.0 stangs since like... 85 have had world class T5's (or was it 86...)

and he is still going to have crossmember issues, the the driveshaft is still going to be too long because of the difference in the fox-94/95 bellhousing and input shaft
