ORIGINAL: skinny_man18

ok here is the bigger dillema, i don't have the money for a better intake plus i'm just gonna get rid of the car when i get it back together and wanted to know if a fox upper is better than a 94-95 cuz it is taller and has longer runners which means better higher rpm performance right? i need betteer high end cuz i have the tfs stage one cam in this motor and the max rpm range is 5500 and my car quits pulling hard between 4000m and 4500 which i'm sure is the intake, and i do have better springs in the heads as well. so the big question is will the fox upper and a lower ported gonna help me acheive that higher rpm i'm trying to get with that cam where it's dropping off to soon with my stock intake? and just keep in mind that i am selling it and not spending any more money on it than i have to cuz that's why i have my other car which is recieving a stroker vic jr heads and a rpm II intake. just trying to make the one run as good as it can with what i got. ya know what i mean?
If the cam is the only mod to the motor; stock heads, exhuast, t/b. Then portingthe intake will not do you much good. You have a bottle neck of air coming in and exiting the motor. What ratio gear do you have on the car? All this plays into how and where in the RPM band your car pulls due to the modifications you have made. Slap it back together and sell it. If you port your intake wrong and mess up the air flow, you will go backwards in performance. You are better off leaving it alone. IMO.

the car does have a stock t body but a bbk cai march pulleys shorty headers mac x no cats and flo cat back and a 355 gear and a jms chip f/p regulator bbk 190lph fuel pump pro 5.0 shifter hays clutch adjustable clutch cable and quadrant. i think that's got it all. i know some of those have nothing to do with what were talking about but i got carried away best time at track with street tires 2.2 60 ft like a 14.7 if i remember correctly and it's getting a set of cobra rockers as i'm putting it back together and may possibly port the heads while i'm at it

I wouldn't waste the time....you might be dissapoionted. I ported all my parts myself(heads, upper intake and lower intake) and I am happy with the free horse power, but if you are just going to sell it I wouldn't bother.
