Default need timing/firing order help

Hey guys, we are trying to set up the timing on my step bro's stang and I need help with a couple things. 1. where are the timing marks on the block and crank pulley? 2. which cylinder is #1 and what is the firing order. (its an HO motor) and finally what should the timing be set to and is there any qwerky things we need to watch out for when setting it. Thanks for your time!

Standing on the passenger side looking at the engine:
Cylinder #1 is the farthest to the right.
and the firing order: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Thanks obsol3te, thats going to help us a lot!

69mach, I did try a search and since I'm not into stangs myself at all I didn't know for sure what to search for. (mkIII partains to my 89 turbo Supra)

However, we embarked on a big resto-mod venture today so I'm sure I'll be talking with you guys again. See ya!
