I moved this post from general tech to 5.0. I apoligise for the double posting, but I need this answered as the engine light comes on much more often now...

I followed the directions to get the engine code from this posting:

My check engine light blinks 4 times in a 4 second interval. Can someone please tell me what this means or even better know of a site that can show me? By the way, so everyone else knows (because this is GREAT information!) i used a wire hanger to ground the wire to the negative battery terminal. All your input is greatly appriciated!

Hey Guys. I am looking at upgrading my current 85 amp alternator. I will be upgrading to an electric fan, replacing the stock sound system with a home theater style surround sound system, support a dash mouted laptop for my music use and movies...


I am not sure on what size alternator I need. I am torn between the G3 130amp and the G6 200amp. I know they will both fith with slight modifications to the alternator mount, but is the 200 over kill? Is the 130 too little for what I need (and want!!)? Any input is apriciated.
