RE: tko in a 331 stroker
the install on the t-5 was just 4 bolts on the outside holding the tranny on the bell housing. is the tko the same style where you dont have to bolt the tranny to the bell housing before installing it?

RE: tko in a 331 stroker
Correct
but you still have to install a new TKO compatible bellhousing first .............................
Hell I always found it just easiet to pull the whole motor and trans together
rather than try and wrestle a trans out from underneath a car.

yea mine was the 600 model, figure i would like the extra insurrance to avoid having to do it all again soon. and yea it shifts amazingly, i had talked to a ford tech who has one but he got his a long time ago so, i would figure they would have fixed some things in there.
hey bighungrymatt just remember if you go for the 500, you wont need to replace the clutch since its a 10 spline input but you'll need to get the new yoke for the driveshaft, the 600 model, you have to get a 26 spline clutch, everything else is the same on them. if anyone else needs any help or info when they wanna do a swap pm me and i'll see if i can give you a little more info.
