Default Foxbody Fenders

When i gotmy 91 GT Iwas told that all numbers matched except for the front fender on the passanger side. When i recently put 17x9 on my mustang i noticed that the front passanger side fender was being rubbedwhile turning. There is about a 2 inch clearance difference between the front part of the driver and passanger fenders. I have had some people telling me there is no difference in the fenders on there and that it is some other issue with the front end. If i am not mistaking i believe in 1991 ford made the fenders larger to go with the 16" pony wheels. I feel like the fender is the problem since i also had the front alignment done and it was fine. I keep getting different answers from different people. So the main part of this post is im just asking for confirmation about the difference in fenders throughout the foxbody years before i buy a new fender.

Thanks

Yes that is what I believe the problem is, but was just wanting some opinions and see if anybody here agrees with me before i go and buy a new fender.

You're correct.. when Ford went to ther 16" pony wheels they did go to a larger wheel opening on the fenders but I don't think it was a2" difference.

Correct!!! You'll have to get a fender from a 91-93, and being a GT, you'll have to get the matching front fender skirt.
