Yeah I hear ya, I work on them too lol. But the ECT is the engine coolant temp sensor, it is mounted in the metal heater core tubing that runs on the passenger side of the intake. Its mounted in the black tubes towards the front of the motor, and has a 3 wire connector. That bastard causes all kinds of problem as it shares the same 5v feed as the MAF, TPS, O2's, and something else. Seems Ford in thier infinite wisdom decided to put most of the vital sensors on the same power feed lol. I had a bad miss and running rich and changing mine fixed it, the miss was like dropping a cylinder it was so bad.
