There are suspension companies out there that you can purchase kits from that will make your car handle like an exotic. Let me ask you this, what is the maximum grip obtained by a stock Cobra of any year? None them were close to 1.0 lateral g on the skidpad. I am guessing that you are looking for better grip in the curves because the IRS is not the best piece for drag racing. Check out http://www.griggsracing.com/or http://www.maximummotorsports.com/they have great kits for Mustangs it all depends on what are your plans for your car and how much money you want to spend. I have neither at this time, I am going to MM kit for my car when I get back.

What are the pros/cons of IRS? just curious. Ive seen it done on old GM muscle like first gen camaros. is it not a step up from solid rear axles?

doesn't the kits add more weight than the irs would? how is rollsteer i think they call it after the installation of these kits versus irs? i know it's comparing lemons and steak but there's a seriously noticeable difference betwixt the solid axle in my stang and the irs in my goat. personally i prefer the irs to the solid axle which most hp cornering cars i've come across have the irs in them.
