Default gauge install?'s

ok i got a used pillar guage set up with water temp and oil pressure. just wondering for the water temp do i install the probe into the port with the single wire going to it.i know thats a bad explaination but i kinda have an idea. also for the oil pressure i dont have any of the fittings or tubing and not really sure how to hook that one up. does it go in place of the pressure sending unit thats already in the block. i know its on the d/s where the pressure sender is. looked on autometers site but not much help.

Yes on the water sending unit. It goes into your intake. The oil pressure they make an instalation kit where you take the electric sending unit on the Drivers side out and you put the fittings and hose there and run it into your compartment. One word of advice though is that they make the plastic hose and the brass. I would get the brass because it is less likely of exploding in your car like I did in my 82 with the plastic

make sure your drain your coolant a little bit before taking out the old coolant temp sensor otherwise it will spray everywhere and you'll have a smelly coolant mess.
