TransGo or Baumann

TransGo or Baumann
Hey all,
I'm rebuilding the AOD in my 5.0 and I know everything I'm going to do to it except which shift kit I'm going to use. Do ya'll like the TranGo or the Baumann kit better, and why? I want it shift hard and fast. Also, what type of converter orginally came in the AOD? is it a lockup or non-lockup. What stall speed should I go with on the new one? It's a weekend cruiser that I want to launch good but be streetable. I was thinking about 2000? Is this too high or low? I'm not running boost or nitrous. I have 3.73's in the rear. I have the original engine in it with only 56000 miles on the clock. It has a bunch of bolt ons and is probably pushing 300 horsepower. Maybe 320 Here's a list of upgrades I'm doing in the tranny rebuild. Thanks in advance for the help
A+ Servo
Larger Boost Valve
Alto steels and clutches with 2 inch wide OD band
Performance Torque Converter

RE: TransGo or Baumann
stock came with lock up. i have in my old tranny the transgo with the race springs, along with the pro billet servo and a 3k stall. 2k stall is very small and IMHO junk. youll never get off the line and with any type of cam you probably need a higher one. if i had to do another shift kit it will be transgo

another place that can supply good AOD performance information and parts is www.lentechautomatics.com
why not check them out before you make your final decision.

RE: TransGo or Baumann
Thanks for the input so far. Anyone know the stock stall speed of the converter that year and the bolt pattern? I'm going to order one but I don't have all the specifics I need on the right fit.
