Default rebuild yes or no

i have 158,000 mile on all stock engine in a 1992 mustang gt 5.0 302 hatchback
should i do a rebuild it runs strong no smoke or eating oil
so should i do a engine rebuild

If you're going to be doing top end or lower end upgrades to the heart of the motor (performance cam, performance heads, balanced crank, pistons, etc) then go ahead and rebuild it as part of the first process. If you're doing mainly bolt-ons...don't do it yet., otherwise you're just doing a lot of double-work.

for performance cam, performance heads do i need to rebuild it cause i would like to bore it .030 over and do not what to have to buy performance cam, performance heads again cause i bored it over

well if you bore the motor .030 over that is somthing that is done in the process of rebiulding and if you are going to do that and preformance heads, i would sugest a cam to take full advantage of the heads
