During WOT, Stops at 4k!
This only happens on the highway because usually thats where i get on it more often. Well this is the story, getting on I-95 (highway) i usually keep it at 3k then gun it. Runs smooth through 2nd gear, goes into 3rd then usually once it hits 3800-4000 rpms it just stops, and i have to shift it in order for it to pick up again.
I gave the car a fresh tune up since this started happening. The synchros in my tranny are going, i have no idea if that could deal with anything. Could it be my driveshaft? and is there anyway i can test it to check it out?

Stops like maybe its the cats? mine did the same thing, i have a t-5 syncs are kinda gettin worn....but i had a clogged cat and an empty cat on a stock system (i bought it used and abused) so i changed to a hiflow X pipe and headers, so my upper cats were eliminated. and my power is smooth throughout, i couldnt even go past 4 before, it would act real sluggish and kinda die out after after, if i could even get it to go that high

damn bro, you actually could be right haha. I really didn't think about that.
Was running rich a couple weeks ago, gave it a tune up and it solved that problem. still smell a tiny bit of fuel..probably is my cats.
If it is my cats, anyway to fix them without buying a new mid pipe? I'm moving to Florida and getting a 96 cobra and i am goin to make this my track car so as of right now im just going to save my money up. Only option is to probably gut the cats right?

I usually block off the tail pipe with potatoes and use the wet and dry vac to remove the clutter, the snake left.
