yup, upper/lower intake, valve covers ,unbolt the rockers, the pushrods will come right up out, and then theres a little tray lookin deal holding the lifter keepers down, take it off, and then the lifters can come out... they should slip right out w. a little effort... shouldnt be stuck or anything

i dont think you can take out the lifters with out removing the lower. where do they come out? i think the tool you're talkin about is for cam swaps and what it does is holds the lifters in place so they dont fall through or get stuck on the lobes. but then again maybe they do make a tool and i just have no idea

I don't think it is possible without removing the lower intake. You must unbolt the two bolts holding the lifter keeper in place. Unless there is a magical screwdriver to get these bolts out that are directly under the lower intake manifold, I don't think it's happening.

Yep yout right I was tired. Its to hold the lifters to put the cam in It would be kinda hard to remove lifter through the lower intake ports lol.
