i found a gt40 crate engine on craigslist and i was contemplating buying it cuz i believe my bearings are on their way out.. i was wondering if it would just bolt up and if the wiring would be the same? or would i need a new wiring harness? like what would be different about it that i would need? i still gotta call the guy. i emailed him and he gave me his #. just havent had the time. thanx guys

if its a regular gt40 crate then you can use all your stock stuff. I read somewhere a long time ago something about the rear smog pipes not going into the crate engine but i never had that problem since i had my smog system removed before the engine swap.

nvm guys.. i called the guy and it is a gt40 crate. its got the aluminum heads and what not but hes askin $2k for the longblock. no intake or injectors or valve covers or dizzy.. but he said for 2800 it would have everything cobra intake, 24# injectors, msd dizzy, ford racing wires... but ya i dont have that kind of money.. he also has annother engine thats fully built w/ 450hp for 2500. i hate bein broke.. lol
