you either have to jack the engine up or drop the k-member down...i had a lift availabe so i dropped the k-member. either way its a pain in the ***.

remove motor mount bolts and jack the motor up...and if you buy the one piece gasket then you don't have to completely pull the pan out....but it does make cleaning the surfaces easier and if you don't remove the pan completely then I lay a few rags in the pan to catch any debris while cleaning / preping surfaces

Well this sucks, I had the car up on a lift to get a quote for an exhaust leak. which is going to cost $205, and the mechanic said your oil pan is looking bad around the edges your going to need new top pan gaskets. Does anyone know what a shop would charge for this

where are you located??? an oil pan gasket could take anywhere from 4-6 hours depending on experience level of tech and labor rates can vary...but with a quality gasket used and 4-6 hours labor somewhere around 400 to 600 dollars pending on the labor rate of a shop
