Default Fuell cell

Just got my fuel cell off a guy I work with last night.

It's going to be used in my 83 street/strip 351 cleveland car. I also have a holley 12-802-1 fuel pump and regulator for it. I just have a few quick questions, I have never done a fuel cell before.

First of all, I have two output nipples in my sump, and since I am running 1 carburator, I should just plug the other one, correct? Now, I have 2 nipples also on the top of the fuel cell, which I assume are for venting, but why do I have 2?

And my final question is, since I really am not concerned with how much space it takes in my trunk, I really only have to cut a square big enough to fit my sump through, correct? Then just weld up a protection box around the sump?

Thanks for the help,
Jon
