What isthe difference betweenaluminumand steelunderdrive pulleys? Which one is better?

I would have to go ahead and guess weight, everyone i know bought aluminum dont really know which is better.

think both are gains over stock pulleys, but aluminum being light less rotational inertia (is that the right word?) hence the belt drive spins easier and less hp is taken up by it...

my new(used) motor had udp's on it... i took them off

yea thats why i sold mine before i put them on, my mechanic said you wont notice the increase in HP plus it will make you car run a little hotter.
